Welcome to our Fall Grow Catalog! We are excited to have you join us and experience what God has for you. One of the core values at Water of Life Community Church is equipping and we desire to equip people to serve others and build God’s Kingdom. We provide opportunities to take classes and participate in ministry in a Spirit-filled environment that develops your personal faith and equips you to serve others. We want to help you live out your calling and destiny as you seek the Lord and allow Him to equip you on your journey. We invite you to explore and see what options are best for you so that you can be equipped in the Word and in the Spirit. SCHOOL OF MINISTRY MISSION STATEMENT
School of Ministry serves to equip and train the Church by providing biblically sound instruction in the Word of God and to activate the Church in the ministry of the Holy Spirit.
FALL QUARTER Ministry Assimilation, Old Testament Survey, New Testament Survey and How to Study the Bible WINTER QUARTER Kingdom of God, Ministry & Gifts of the Holy Spirit, Living Waters and Ministry Assimilation SPRING QUARTER Prayer & Hearing the Voice of God, Gifts of the Spirit, How to Share your Faith and Ministry Assimilation FALL QUARTER SCHEDULE The One-Year program consists of three quarters and runs consecutively beginning with the Fall quarter. Registration opens every Fall and students must register at that time in order to participate in the program. Each quarter consists of 12 weeks and classes are offered either Sunday afternoons or Tuesday evenings and must be attended the same day each week.

BAPTISM: ADULTS & YOUNG BELIEVERS Class: Sat. 10/1 at 5:00pm in Seminars A/B Baptism will be held on 10/15 and 10/16 during all services Baptism is a key component to the believer’s relationship with Christ. This class helps you and/or children 9-12 years old to better understand the “whys” and “whats” of baptism and prepares them for water baptism at Water of Life. FOUNDATIONS II Sun. from 10/23-12/18 at 9:30am in Seminar M Online Group: 10/23-12/18 This eight-week class is for all Christians, new or established, who want to grow beyond the basics and move into a deeper relationship and understanding with God. This class builds on Foundations I and gives you tools to grow in prayer, worship, studying the Bible and further equips you for ministry at Water of Life. FOUNDATIONS III : BIBLICAL THEOLOGY Sun. 9/11-10/16 at 9:30am in Seminar J Online Group: 9/11-10/16 Recommended but not required: Foundations I & II This six-week class is a video series taught by Pastor Dan and takes an in-depth look at several theological topics including the Trinity. We will focus on what it means to be a true disciple, living a “missions” lifestyle, cross-cultural ministry and how all of it fits into Global Outreach teams! We invite you to consider this opportunity to be stretched, to grow and learn. Class lessons will consist of lectures, guest speakers, videos, group discussion, prayer and hands-on experiences. This training will equip you with the tools required to serve in the Healing Rooms, as well as enrich and grow your understanding of healing prayer. The training consists of three quarters and classes are taught by WOL staff and guest speakers who are topic experts and have many years of experience in the field. Students will receive instruction in several areas including: Model of Healing; Understanding Ourselves; Relating to Others (Divorce Recovery, Anger, Depression, Grief, Domestic Violence, and other topics will be discussed); Skills (Listening, Question-Asking, Empathy) Idols and Addictions; and Understanding Families. The group’s goal is to help bring hope and spiritual healing, to make a place for reconciliation and building relationships, and strengthening our own relationship with our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus (Ephesians 6:10-20). NEW HOPE Meets on 2nd Thurs. at 7:00pm in Seminar I New Hope is a group that provides a safe and confidential environment for parents of LGBTQ children, to experience community and support. When parents work through their pain and confusion and process their common experiences together, they recognize that they are not alone. As we look to the example of Jesus, He empowers us to grow in loving our children well, even if we may disagree with their choices. THE RIVER’S EDGE RANCH The River’s Edge Ranch is a men’s drug and alcohol recovery center where hope is restored for men with broken lives, empowering them to live the “abundant life” and have a positive impact on their families and communities. The training consists of three quarters and classes are taught by WOL staff and guest speakers who are topic experts and have many years of experience in the field. Students will receive instruction in several areas including: Model of Healing; Understanding Ourselves; Relating to Others (Divorce Recovery, Anger, Depression, Grief, Domestic Violence, and other topics will be discussed); Skills (Listening, Question-Asking, Empathy) Idols and Addictions; and Understanding Families. Most of us have not been taught about forgiveness and are left with many unanswered questions. God’s Word not only provides the answers about forgiveness, but offers practical ways to let go of our bound-up resentment and experience the healing God desires for us.
