Welcome to our Fall GROW Catalog! Equipping is one of our core values here at Water of Life, and because of this, it is our desire to help you with your spiritual growth by providing excellent training and classes. In this time of uncertainty, one thing is certain: God loves us and meant for us to have community and to grow in our relationship with Him, even during a Pandemic! Ministry is still happening at Water of Life, it may look different but we are working hard to adapt to the challenges of social distancing, safety guidelines and other restrictions that are currently being enforced. We invite you to explore and see what options are best for you so that you can be equipped in the Word and in the Spirit. There is something for everyone; if you need personal healing, help in building your marriage, or desire to acquire skills needed to minister to others, Water of Life provides many opportunities to grow. We believe our trainings and classes will help develop you as a person and equip you in service as you partner with Christ in building His Kingdom.

BIBLICAL STUDIES PROGRAM Water of Life College offers undergraduate and graduate courses designed to equip individuals with a deep understanding of the Bible, theology, and ministry. Each course imparts knowledge from a biblical framework and cultivates the desire to be a life-long learner. Students attain the skills necessary to minister to people inside and outside of the local church. In addition, they learn how to integrate education, spiritual-life, and experience in order to grow as disciples of Jesus Christ. Undergraduate and graduate courses can be taken for credit or audited. Courses that are completed for credit may be transferred to one of our partner universities.

THE SCHOOL OF MINISTRY MISSION STATEMENT School of Ministry serves to equip and train the Church by providing biblically sound instruction in the Word of God and to activate the Church in the ministry of the Holy Spirit. TWO-YEAR PROGRAM (OFFERED IN ENGLISH & SPANISH) The School of Ministry Two-Year Program is designed for those who have a desire to grow deeper in the Word of God, build purposeful relationships in the Lord, discover spiritual gifts based on how you were created and become equipped to serve in your direct call to ministry. Track 1: WOL Core Values, Ministry & Gifts of the Holy Spirit I, How to Share Your Faith, and Small Groups Track 2: Generous Life, Biblical Theology, and Living Waters

Track 5: How to Study the Bible, New Testament, and Foundations of Biblical Worship Track 6: Bible Practicum, Kingdom of God, Ministry Team Training I, Prayer Session Training, and Ministry Placement I FALL QUARTER SCHEDULE The Two-Year Program is offered during the Fall, Winter and Spring Quarters. Each quarter is 11 weeks. Classes in this program are offered either Sunday afternoons or Tuesday evenings and must be attended the same day each week.

THE SPECIALIZED TRACK PROGRAM (OFFERED TUESDAYS ONLY) The School of Ministry, Specialized Track Program, is for those that desire a deeper training through specialized areas in Bible, Outreach, Shepherd’s Staff Caregiving, and Worship. The learning component includes classroom participation, project collaboration and ministry opportunities. The Specialized Tracks are offered during the Fall, Winter and Spring Quarters. Each quarter is 11 weeks. The Bible Track is a two-year program and all the others are one-year programs. Classes in these programs are offered on Tuesday evenings only.

SPECIALIZED TRACK PROGRAM This unique program oers new and SOM graduate students four tracks highlighting a specific area in ministry with standard core classes in each track.

Bible Track— Two-Year Program Students will experience a broad spectrum of biblical knowledge and the ability to articulate biblical truths into their personal journey in Christ. Shepherd’s Sta Caregiving Track— One-Year Program Students will gain tools and skills to bring healing to the broken hearted in one on one caregiving. Outreach Track— One-Year Program Students will learn about disciple-making, evangelism, and every believer’s calling to be involved in building and extending the Kingdom of God. Worship Track— One-Year Program Students will have the opportunity to learn the position, heart, theology and lifestyle of Worship.

This class helps you to better understand the “whys” and “whats” of baptism and prepares you for baptism at Water of Life. This class is required for anyone who is interested in being water baptized. FOUNDATIONS II This eight-week class is for all Christians, new or established, who want to grow beyond the basics and move into a deeper relationship and understanding with God. This class builds on Foundations I and gives you tools to grow in prayer, worship, studying the Bible and further equips you for ministry at Water of Life. MINISTRY & GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT II Prerequisite: Mission and Core Values, Ministry and Gifts of the Holy Spirit I This eight-week class is designed to be a practicum and picks up where Ministry and Gifts of the Holy Spirit I leaves off. PRAYER 101 Have you ever felt stuck or limited in your prayers? So did the disciples...until Jesus taught them how to pray. Come join us in this seven-week class as we examine prayer from a Biblical perspective, giving you practical ways to increase your effectiveness in prayer and explore the ways God speaks to us. SCIENCE & THE BIBLE “For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen being understood through what has been made…” This 10-week course applies the principles of Romans 1. Our goal is to tear down the walls of divisibility between the Church and science while glorifying God through His creation. How old is the earth? What happened to the dinosaurs? Can we trust scientists? We examine how God’s character is revealed by multiple scientific disciplines (astronomy, biology, geology), discuss the issue of “time,” and dive into recent scientific discoveries to uncover the amazing element of “design” that permeates the universe— design that portrays a Designer. This training is for anyone interested in serving in the Healing Rooms. The Healing Rooms at Water of Life are prayer clinics where all are invited to come and receive prayer for whatever their needs are. Set in a loving, safe, and confidential environment, teams of two to three people pray for individuals in a semi-private setting. This program is for teenagers who are struggling to live their lives in a healthy, God-honoring way. Maybe they have been part of a dysfunctional home or have faced crisis in their lives. BIKE TRAIL RIDE GROUP Open to both single riders and families. This is a 2-hour round trip ride, on the Pacific Electric Trail. STRETCH & PRAY Stretch and Pray is a worship experience class that offers all of the physical benefits of strengthening postures and is done with scripture, prayer and worship music speaking to a weekly theme. Bring your mat, towel and water bottle. $5 suggested fee at the door.
