CONGRATULATIONS! You just accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior!

You have made a commitment to trust and follow Jesus and we are so excited to come alongside you as you move forward on your spiritual journey! To trust and follow Jesus means that He has given you eternal life and that you have surrendered to Him inviting Jesus to be your Teacher, Lord and King. Nothing could be more important and exciting! Whether you are just entering into a relationship with Jesus for the first time or are renewing your commitment to follow Him, you’ll want to lay a good foundation for your faith in God so you can build on it in the years ahead. Laying a good foundation includes: Reading your Bible: “Your word is a lamp to my feet.” Psalm 119:105 Prayer: “Believe, ask in prayer and you will receive.” Matthew 21:22 Going to Church: “Don’t avoid worshipping together and encouraging one another.” Hebrews 10:25 Joining a Small Group or Bible Study: “They met house to house for food and fellowship.” Acts 2:46 Sharing your Faith: “The first thing Andrew did was find his brother, Simon, and tell him, ‘We have found the Messiah.’” John 1:41 We would like to present you with this Bible as a free gift of God’s Word. You will find that in a very short time it will become the very compass for finding and fulfilling your purpose and destiny in this life, and the hope of your eternal life. As you open its pages and spend time reading it every day, you will come to understand and have confidence in these basic promises: • God is crazy about you. • He accepts you just as you are. • You now have His Holy Spirit living in you to empower and guide you.

Water of Life has a wide range of classes designed to heal and equip you for your journey in Christ. For a full list of available classes, visit us at wateroflifecc.org .

WE ARE WATER OF LIFE

Water of Life Community Church was established on Sunday, October 28, 1990, when a group of twenty-one adults and eleven children gathered together to worship at the La Petite Childcare building in Rancho Cucamonga. It was a fellowship that had arisen from a men’s Bible study. This was a group of people who had grown together and were committed to seek God’s plan as a church family. Water of Life is a non-denominational evangelical charismatic church. This means that we are devoted to studying and obeying the Bible, which is the Word of God. We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and the modern day operation of the gifts proclaimed in the New Testament. Many people love God but have become disillusioned with the “church.” Therefore, a church that offers a personal encounter with Jesus Christ and growth in His Word, without the clutter of an overly structured environment, has great appeal. Because we want to maintain the integrity and purity of our spiritual purpose, we do not have a rigorous structure with a multitude of committees or membership requirements. Consequently, you will not see us take an offering. Rather, we believe the giving of tithes and offerings is worship to Jesus Christ and is an expression of the relationship between the individual giver and the Lord. Although Water of Life is a non-denominational church, we consider ourselves to be a church that is “interdependent” with the rest of the Body of Christ. Our church is governed by our Pastors and our Elder Board. Additionally, our Senior Pastor is accountable to an outside group of other Senior Pastors from local churches, as well as an internationally recognized leader from the Foursquare denomination. Our desire is to walk by faith and in deep trust of our Lord.

NEXT STEPS

Next Steps is the clear path for you to get connected and grow here at Water of Life. You may be wondering, “Ok, so I’m a follower of Jesus, now what do I do?” We want to come alongside you and help you take your Next Step on your journey of following Jesus. Here are four Next Steps to take as a new follower of Jesus:

1

THE “JOURNEY WITH JESUS” CLASS

Once per month, we offer this class for those who are new to following Jesus. Discover the basics of what this faith journey with Jesus looks like. Through engaging teaching and interactive discussion, you will gain insights and answers to the following questions:

• What is the Christian message? • What does it mean to be a Christian? • What does it practically look like to have faith?

Whether you are brand new to the faith or have recommitted your life to Jesus, this class is an important first step on your spiritual journey. For more information, call the church at 909.463.0103 or visit wolnextsteps.com . BAPTISM Baptisms at Water of Life are a big celebration, and it is the next step for anyone who commits their life to trust and follow Jesus. Baptism is the outward symbol of an inward commitment to surrender your life to Jesus and live for Him as your King. 2

The Baptism class is required in order to get baptized at Water of Life. As soon as you have committed your life to Jesus, you can and should be baptized.

SMALL GROUPS In-Home Bible Studies

At Water of Life, we believe life transformation happens in the context of relationships. You were not meant to live life or pursue your faith alone. Small Groups are the best way to learn about our faith, develop purposeful relationships, discover our gifts and serve together. You might have read that the first thing Jesus did when He started His ministry was to launch a small group (He called them His disciples). We think that’s a good example to follow. What is a Small Group? A Small Group is a gathering of approximately 6-12 people who meet weekly to share, study and support one another. A trained member leads each group. An average meeting lasts for about an hour and a half to two hours.

For more information, visit us at wolgroups.com or call the Small Groups Coordinator at 909.463.0103 x4149 .
