Welcome to our Winter GROW Catalog! Equipping is one of our core values here at Water of Life, and because of this, it is our desire to help you with your spiritual growth by providing excellent training and classes. As we continue to transition ministries back on to our campuses, our goal is to do that thoughtfully with everyone’s best interest in mind. God loves us and meant for us to have community and to grow in our relationship with Him. It may still look a little different but we are continuing to work hard to rise to the challenges of social distancing, safety guidelines and other restrictions that continue to be in place. We invite you to explore and see what options are best for you so that you can be equipped in the Word and in the Spirit. There is something for everyone; if you need personal healing, help in building your marriage, or desire to acquire skills needed to minister to others, Water of Life provides many opportunities to grow. We believe our trainings and classes will help develop you as a person and equip you in service as you partner with Christ in building His Kingdom.

THE SCHOOL OF MINISTRY MISSION STATEMENT School of Ministry serves to equip and train the Church by providing biblically sound instruction in the Word of God and to activate the Church in the ministry of the Holy Spirit. TWO-YEAR PROGRAM (OFFERED IN ENGLISH & SPANISH) The School of Ministry Two-Year Program is designed for those who have a desire to grow deeper in the Word of God, build purposeful relationships in the Lord, discover spiritual gifts based on how you were created and become equipped to serve in your direct call to ministry. Track 1: Mission & Core Values, Ministry & Gifts of the Holy Spirit I, How to Share Your Faith, and Small Groups Track 2: Living Waters , Biblical Theology, and Generous Life

Track 5: How to Study the Bible, New Testament, and Foundations of Biblical Worship Track 6: Bible Practicum, Kingdom of God, Ministry Team Training I, Prayer Session Training, and Ministry Placement I WINTER QUARTER SCHEDULE The Two-Year Program is offered during the Fall, Winter and Spring Quarters. THE SPECIALIZED TRACK PROGRAM (OFFERED TUESDAYS ONLY) The School of Ministry, Specialized Track Program, is for those that desire a deeper training through specialized areas in Bible, Outreach, Shepherd’s Staff Caregiving, Worship, and KingdomPreneurship. The learning component includes classroom participation, project collaboration and ministry opportunities. The Specialized Tracks are offered during the Fall, Winter and Spring Quarters. Each quarter is 11 weeks. The Bible Track is a two-year program and all the others are one-year programs. Classes in these programs are offered on Tuesday evenings only.

SPECIALIZED TRACK PROGRAM This unique program o‰ers new and SOM graduate students five tracks highlighting a specific area in ministry with standard core classes in each track.

Bible Track —Two-Year Program Students will experience a broad spectrum of biblical knowledge and the ability to articulate biblical truths into their personal journey in Christ. Shepherd’s Sta‚ Caregiving Track — One-Year Program Students will gain tools and skills to bring healing to the broken hearted in one on one caregiving. BAPTISM: ADULTS Class: Sat. 1/16 at 5:00pm in the Seminar Building, Seminars C/D Service: 1/30 & 1/31 during all services Baptism is a key component to the believer’s relationship with Christ. This class helps you to better understand the “whys” and “whats” of baptism and prepares you for baptism at Water of Life. This class is required for anyone who is interested in being water baptized. The Healing Rooms at Water of Life are prayer clinics where all are invited to come and receive prayer for whatever their needs are. Set in a loving, safe, and confidential environment, teams of two to three people pray for individuals in a semi-private setting. HEALING THE HURT: UNDERSTANDING AND HEALING ABUSE This support group is designed to bring healing and restoration to women who have experienced abuse in relationships. NEW HOPE Meets on 2nd & 4th Thurs. at 7:00pm in the Seminar Building, Seminar I New Hope is a group that provides a safe and confidential environment for parents of LGBTQ children, to experience community and support. When parents work through their pain and confusion and process their common experiences together, they recognize that they are not alone. As we look to the example of Jesus, He empowers us to grow in loving our children well, even if we may disagree with their choices. RESTORED LIFE FOR WOMEN Thurs. from 1/7-6/24 at 7:00pm Restored Life for Women is a support group for spouses of men battling sexual addiction, through either infidelity or pornography. This group uses a workbook that is biblically based, time-tested, and an effective help in assisting spouses to recover from their partner’s sexual addiction-whether the addict is in recovery or not. STRETCH & PRAY Stretch and Pray is a worship experience class that offers all of the physical benefits of strengthening postures and is done with scripture, prayer and worship music speaking to a weekly theme.
